Start a Career As a Software Developer
Mined Minds Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, building a supply of talented technology professionals by providing computer programming training to local residents that would like to start a career within software development. The training is led by industry experts, and is offered at no cost to qualifying individuals.
We focus on teaching the fundamentals of computer programming, so that participants can can gain the skills that they require to start a career in the ever-changing and highly paid software industry. As well as technical skills, we develop attendees professional skills, and provide advice and contacts for securing their first job in the industry.
Successful graduates may be offered a paid apprenticeship with Mined Minds Foundation, or a partner company, to enable them to gain experience in a continual learning environment.
Our curriculum is based on industry needs, and is hands on from day one. Trainees will be fully immersed in code, working in pairs and groups, and learn by practical exercises and projects rather than sitting through lectures. Full time courses last for 16 weeks, and students can expect to put in at least 40 hours study per week. If you are interested then apply for a position on the next course.
